USA Gymnastics Development Program
Formerly known as the Junior Olympic Program, the Development Program follows a compulsory structure where gymnasts perform standardized routines on each apparatus. Athletes are judged on execution and mastery of core skills, with an emphasis on building a strong technical foundation. To compete, gymnasts must generally be at least 7 years old and meet required skill standards for each event.
Gymnasts are evaluated and invited to join this program.
